What is a Covert Narcissist?

There seems to be a myth that a covert narcissist is a kinder, gentler type of narcissist, but the truth is, a covert narcissist is no less dangerous than an overt one. In many ways they are more destructive to your sense of self, your sense of safety, and your sense of sanity. A covert narcissist will hunt you, hurt you, and hold you hostage with the same level of damage done, but will do it so stealthily that you're blindsided by it.
